The story is sexual. Sex is referenced too many times almost pushing it down your throat how often they have sex. Did I say the story is sexual? Yes, I did. There was plenty of mouth party action by the stripper who can't seem to keep her mouth off of his penis.
The story began with Knox watching Jade workout at the gym. Knox then discovered Jade was a DJ and a stripper. Knox stalked her, claimed her, and fell in love with her in a matter of days.
This was your insta-love story. The characters relationship progressed quickly.
What's the best way to break a persons fear after being raped? Join a strip club and allow men to touch you but not allow sex. The author made a point to note how often Jade and Knox had sex. "After waking up this morning feeling refreshed, making love to my sexy man." This is how each chapter began.
How does Jade deal with paparazzi or men who push sex on her? By kneeing them in the balls. Why is Jade the target of men wanting to attack her? Why do the paparazzi follow Knox? Since when does paparazzi follow graphic designers? These are the many questions I had yet never found the answers.

Originally Jade wanted independence and to take care of herself. Then Knox entered her life and she quit her job, moved in with him, had sex, and agreed to marry him. All her rules and goals were set aside because a wealthy, good looking guy asked to take care of her. "I’ll really try to not be so stubborn and let you take care of me.” Quote from Jade. Jade became complacent and pliable for Knox.

“I saw you through the window at the gym when I was walking by one day. After that, I followed you, found out everything I could about you and then I went into the club one night and I knew you were the one." Because that is fate, apparently.

What was the premise of the story? For Jade to not have sex as a stripper and for Knox to have plenty of sex until fate brought them together so they could have rockin sex with each other. In the meantime, Jade's past caused too much drama and Knox went into protector mode to take care of her.
The story was too long and too detailed. The author put too many obstacles into the story. It was layered deep with drama. Too many plot devices.

Jade Morley is a stripper at a nightclub called The Sensation, and also a DJ she has her own talk show, she also owns her own apartment which almost caused to deplete all of her savings, but it's located in a decent neighborhood in Florida, and is walking distance from both jobs. She has been alone after being raped at the age of 17, and then becoming pregnant, and having a miscarriage. Her father, a prominent judge, couldn't take the bad press, that surrounded the hearing of the rapist of his only child. He disowned her and threw her out of the house. Jade starts to get weird phone calls at her DJ job, from a man that won't answer at first, when she picks up the phone, and then only says to her, "I want you," before he hangs up. She never puts her job as a stripper together with her job as DJ, after all it is radio, and they can't see her. She confides most of her life story with her friend Amber that lives in the same building she does, Amber is young, and is a graphic designer. Though she goes to bed early, before Jade starts her radio job, she keeps watch over Jade as much as she can, though Jade tells her most of what went on in her life, she doesn't confide all of her life to her. She feels that Amber is much too naive and innocent, and has grown to look upon her as a younger sister. Since the rape incident that caused her to loose her family, she doesn't date anymore, feeling dirty, and unwanted, and that no one would love her, it's been six years.
Knox Dunaway, has come a long way from his childhood, growing up in Pennsylvania. He is a self made millionaire, who started with a graphic design company at the age of 18, from the bottom, and finally bought the company. His parents divorced when he was 3 years old, which was fine with him, because his mother always told him that giving birth to him, almost killed her. His father remarried, to a woman that was even worse than his own mother. She was jealous of his father's attention to his son, and when he was at work, or away on business, she would beat him with his father's belt. She would beat him till his back bled, and told him if he told his father that she would take it out on his step sister, Tabitha, who he felt was the only person that really loved him as a sister could. They were very close, as close as any biological brother or sister could be. He never was in a relationship, because since he came into so much money, he found women only wanted to be with him for his money. He had his occasional one night stand, but that was as far as it went. He remembers a little girl he played in the sandbox with when he was 8 years old, who he thought he loved and would spend his life with, one day Tabitha took him to the playground and she wasn't' there anymore. He is driven by his job, feeling he would never love again.
This book was great, it takes a lot of twists and turns, and there are many surprises. With summer coming up, and people looking to enjoy a good book while tanning on the beach, I would highly recommend this book. Happy reading!
I am not much of a sweet romance book reader and at times find they can be too corny and I like my books to have an edge to them. Touched is the perfect combination of both kinds of books...an emotionally and physically abused young woman who finds her HEA in an unexpected way.
Knox comes across as a creepy stalker in the beginning of the book and Jade is the object of his obsession...a radio DJ and stripper by night...and cautious untouchable girl to everyone. When Knox sets his sights on her, he will go to any lengths to have her, but NOT in a scary stalker way but more like a knight in shining armour! Both of them are keeping things from each other and as they work their way into a relationship, the masks start to slip and after much turmoil and some pretty violent occurrences, the truth slowly comes out as they are falling in love. Jade's past comes back to hit her smack in the face with more turmoil and Knox's love/hate relationship with the press all come into play.
Vicki Green is very passionate about her couples and their romance and she writes alpha male characters who know how to love and respect a woman...as well as make her feel like a sex goddess. I really enjoyed this one and wish all men were rich, built like a Greek god and knew how to make love for hours like Knox =)
