<b> true strength comes from resilience, an inner force that refuses to give up a fight </b>It's no surprise that Blake Daniels is my fave fighters and he had me at "nice legs, what time do they open?"
And if anyone that know resilience, it's him. The kind of guy that can turn around what life throws at him and make his own way to the top, be it career or women.
It's very interesting to read a story that you think ended and at the same time wonder what else could be told. But Father's fight gave so much Insight into Blake and Layla's history especially Blake and how did he get to where he's at, the man he became today.
<b> everything life throws affects who we become. </b>
Blake had tough past, we get that but what I love about this story is it's explained much further and how deep Blake really is despite his easy going attitude around the boys.
<b> rather than give him my forgiveness! He deserves my gratitude </b>
Blake's moment of clarity is such a moving moment.
<b> we've all made mistakes, screwed up in varying degrees, but we can't allow our mistakes to define our future. </b>
His revelation as parents showed just how far he became from the guy I met at Fighting for Flight. And reminded me just how much I love this guy. He's truly a guy who got BIG heart, HUGE personality and DEEP. And I love him HARD!
His advice to Layla truly reflects what he's all about. A man In charge.

Father's fight is a moving story, closure with many events that needs closure from Fighting to forgive and with ending so sweet tied up with a perfect bow. So sweet it takes you a few second to make sure he still Blake the snake. ;)

I have absolutely loved every book in this series, and have LOVED Blake from the beginning, so I was beyond excited that he was getting another book. Some of the things I love most about him are his quick wit, his sense of humor, his dirty mouth, and his loyalty and protectiveness towards those he considers family. A Father's Fight gives us a different side of Blake, and I can honestly say that I fell even more in love.
As an expectant father, Blake is even more protective, and has grown up a lot. He is already nervous about the impending arrival of his and Layla's first child, so when he learns that someone is checking into Axelle and Layla, he becomes even worse. Not wanting to add to Layla's stress, he decides not to tell her anything until he knows what's going on. On top of that, he knows that Layla is keeping something from him as well, but instead of confronting her, he wants her to open up to him on her own.from Layla, thinking that she doesn't need the added stress. The poor guy can't catch a break when he is forced to deal with his own past as well.
A Father' Fight is packed full of emotion. You'll laugh, cry, and swoon, which is everything you'd expect from a JB Salsbury book. All of the other characters that we've grown to love appear as well, and a visit from Blake's brother Brae was an added bonus. This book was just so sweet, and I loved every minute of it. Highly recommend.
If you haven’t read the previous books in the series yet there may possibly be some spoilers of the previous books in this review. You have been warned so take the appropriate actions now.
I didn’t think that I could love Blake more than I did when I read Fighting To Forgive, but A Father’s Fight has made him my all time favorite character of the Fighting series so far. Sorry Rex, you know I have love for you but Blake showed what a real man and father is. One that protects his family and hold on tight and never lets go.
We know from their previous book that Layla had been date gang raped in high school which led to her pregnancy of Axelle Rose (I still freaking love that name). Layla and Axelle are still working through that knowledge and Blake is there helping by taking care of his girls. But now there is someone who could possibly try to take that happiness away from him, someone who is asking questions about who the biological father Axelle really is. Both Layla and Blake try to do the right thing but sometimes instead of keeping truths in the name of protecting the ones you love you need to be a team and be there for one another. And no I am not going to tell you who it is. Read the d@mn book people.
I really liked seeing how Blake not only was looking forward to becoming a father, but how he was dealing with an issue from his past as well. Again read the book. Even though in Fighting To Forgive you can tell how important both Layla and Axelle are to Blake, in A Father’s Fight it becomes almost real. When we first met Blake I can honestly say I never thought he would turn out how he has and I am glad that he continues to fight for his girls. Oh and the baby’s name is perfect for this family.
A Father’s Fight reminded my again why I love this series as much as I do. It is because the tough alpha MMA fighters fall hard for their women and will do anything to protect them and their families. In other words they are what real men should be.
